Frequently Asked Questions
Can I do exercises that will reduce fat in specific areas?
The idea of body fat spot reduction is a tough subject. We are predisposed
to carry fat in certain areas. Doing crunches for example will not decrease
your stomach fat. How ever, resistance and cardio training burns calories
and increases your metabolism. All of which can help make you leaner. But
don't forget in order to look leaner, you must lower body fat and improve
lean muscle. So keep the ab exercise, just don't follow it with a burger.
I have been doing the same routine for a long time, but I am not seeing
any results, what am I doing wrong?
Variety is the spice of life and the key to success in fitness. Your body
is a dynamic organism that is required to do all sorts of different movements
at different speeds and lengths of time. Why than would you treat your body
like a machine? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over
and over and expecting a different result! Don't be crazy; add variety to
your work outs and you will achieve greater results!
What is the easiest way to achieve success on a restricted time schedule?
Frequency is the key to making gains towards fitness goals. Do quicker more
intense work outs even if it's only for 30 minutes. Put it in your schedule
and treat it like any other appointment. Most importantly, utilize a personal
trainer to put together the best program for your schedule so you are guaranteed
to maximize your time safely and effectively!

Will weight training make me bulky?
No! There is a definite difference between body building and resistance
training. In fact, resistance training is essential for optimum health and
vitality! As we age we lose muscle tone. Resistance training increases lean
muscle tissue and increases a person's metabolism, therefore making weight
management and injury prevention more effective. We work with the average
person that wants to get the most out of their work outs and their bodies
in an overall balanced way.
Will spinning make my legs big?
Spinning is a muscular endurance exercise. If toning your legs, burning
calories, becoming more fit and challenging yourself is something you are
after, come out and give spinning a try!
